Product Overview

Glutamin Complex PLG-U Powder nutritional causal chain supporting a healthy gastrointestinal tract and mucosal lining.*

The GUT is the SECOND BRAIN. The Gut and Psychology Syndrome, or GAPS, is a condition that establishes a connection between the functions of the digestive system and the brain. This term was created by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, MD, in 2004 after working with hundreds of children and adults with neurological and psychiatric conditions, such as autistic spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD), schizophrenia, dyslexia, dyspraxia, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, and other neuro-psychological and psychiatric problems.

Well-functioning gut terrain is the right hand of our immune system (see GALT Fortifier).

The beneficial bacteria or microbiome in the gut ensures the appropriate production of different immune cells, immunoglobulins, and other immunity factors. But most importantly, they keep the immune system in the right balance. What typically happens in a person with gut dysbiosis is that two major arms of their immune system, Th1 and Th2, get out of balance, expressing an underactive Th1 and an overactive Th2. As a result, the immune system starts reacting to most environmental stimuli in an allergic or atopic reaction.

Intestinal dysbiosis occurs when unhealthy bacteria, yeast, and other intestinal pathogens disrupt the ideal balance of healthy bacteria. The stomach typically reduces the entrance of these organisms through the sterilizing effects of its hydrochloric acid output. When hydrochloric acid is blocked or neutralized, this protection is lost, and pathogens find accessible entrance into the digestive system.

An adult, on average, carries 2 kg/4.5 lbs) of bacteria in the gut. There are more cells in that microbial mass than there are cells in an entire human body. It is a highly organized micro-world where certain species of bacteria have to predominate to keep us healthy physically and mentally. Their role in our health is so paramount that we simply cannot afford to ignore them.

Apart from taking a direct part in nourishing the body, beneficial bacteria in the gut act as the housekeepers for the digestive tract. They coat the entire gut surface, protecting it from invaders and toxins by providing a natural barrier and producing anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal substances. At the same time, they provide the gut lining with nourishment. It is estimated that the gut lining derives 60 – 70% of its energy from the activity of the bacteria living on it.

It isn’t just a matter of providing the correct resonating pre and probiotics, enzymes, and adjusting diet – of course; these are vital and very helpful. It’s a matter of terrain, drainage, and stabilizing factors that are required to heal the gut in the context of the applicable causal chain, and this is where Glutamine Complex PLG-U Powder shines.

The focal remedy in this complex is “clean” glutamine, which may increase heat shock protein expression. This may well account for its protective ability through the active support of inflammation reduction.
