In brief, as a bitter, Condurango may be used for a wide range of digestive and stomach problems. It is best known for its appetite-stimulating actions, common to all bitters. It may relax the nerves of the stomach when affected by nervous tension and anxiety.
Elderberry, Licorice, Fenugreek, and Fennel help to provide antimicrobial support and the reduction inflammation of the mucous membrane, including the digestive tract.
Senna, gentian, and cayenne traditionally assist with liver support, bowel elimination, helping with flatulence and colic, strengthening stomach and GI digestive processes, stimulating peristalsis, and cutting accumulated mucus to reduce toxic accumulation. Gentian and condurango, like most bitters, increase bile production to support toxic bile syndromes.
